Olga Leshchenko is a postdoctoral researcher on the ERC Project FLIN: Families and inequality in a flexible world of work, at the Vienna Institute of Demography at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on social inequalities in the workplace, at home, and across countries. In her dissertation, titled Unequal Flexibility Paradox: How Context Shapes Work-Life Boundaries and Inequality, which she defended in 2025 at the University of Konstanz, she examined the consequences of flexible working arrangements for the division of paid and unpaid work and work-life conflict, using longitudinal German data and European cross-national surveys. In addition, Olga conducts research on gender inequalities in mental load and various aspects of well-being. Her research has been published in the Journal of Family Research, the Journal of Family Studies, Social Problems, and the European Sociological Review.
