Markus Kollberg is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His research examines how the success of populist parties is transforming European politics. In particular, he analyses how growing fragmentation in party systems and electorates challenges mainstream parties, constrains the capacity of both national governments and the European Union to govern, and ultimately shapes democratic resilience.
