Marica Miglio

Marica Miglio is a PhD candidate in Social and Political Science at the European University Institute (EUI) in Fiesole. Her research interests include social stratification, behavioural economics, and attitude formation. She often uses experimental methods alongside cross-national survey data. In her doctoral thesis, she examines how socioeconomic status inequalities are perceived and experienced through meritocratic lenses, and how these perceptions affect individuals’ attitudes and behaviours in stratified ways. As part of her PhD, she has been a visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh and the WZB. She previously completed an MSc at Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin and an MA at the University of Turin.
