Malte Sandner is a research professor for Empirical Economics and Data Science at the TH Nürnberg OHM. He received his doctorate from the Faculty of Economics at Leibniz University Hannover. After completing his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at various research institutes in Germany and abroad. Then, he has been employed as a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), where his research findings have been used, among others, to advise the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). He has published his work in many international journals, such as the Economic Journal, Journal of Human Resources, or Journal of Health Economics.
