“Network Homogeneity, Social Isolation and Preferences for Redistribution across Societies”
Julio is a PhD Fellow in Sociology at the Bremen International School of Social Sciences. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Universidad de Concepción and his Master’s degree in Sociology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He previously worked as a Senior Research Assistant at the Group and Individual Interactions Line at the Centre for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES) in Chile.
His research interest is the intersection of social class, network segregation, social cohesion, and attitudes towards economic inequality, with research being focused in the Latin American context but also with substantial cross-national comparisons between industrialized and late-industrialized societies.
