Juan Diego García-Castro earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from the University of Costa Rica. He holds a master’s degree in Social Intervention Psychology and a doctorate in Social Psychology from the University of Granada, Spain. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for the Study of Conflict and Social Cohesion (COES) in Chile. He is a full professor at the University of Costa Rica. Associated researcher at the Cluster of Excellence, the Politics of Inequality at Konstanz University. His research focuses on the social psychology of economic inequality, violence, distributive justice, ideology, and Central America.
