Jianghong Li is a Senior Researcher at the WZB Social Science Center Berlin, Germany. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Curtin University. Her research interests revolve around social, economic, psychological, and cultural determinants of child health and development. Her current research focus is two-fold: 1) the impact of parents’ long work hours and precarious working timing on children’s health and development in diverse national contexts (Australia, China, Germany, the UK, and the US); 2) the impact of temporal dimensions of working conditions (long or precarious working hours and work schedules) on political and societal participation. Jianghong Li has extensive experience in inter-disciplinary research crossing social science, labour economics, clinical psychology, health and epidemiology, biomedical science and increasingly political science. She has published widely in leading international peer reviewed journals on social and gender inequality and child/adolescent health in both developed and developing countries.
