Jana Belschner

Jana Belschner is a Researcher (Tenure Track) at the Institute of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen, Norway. Her research lies at the intersection of comparative politics and political demography, with a particular focus on how the demographic composition of electorates shapes dynamics of political behavior, political representation, and political economy. Her work has appeared in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Political Research, Electoral Studies, and Political Research Quarterly. In 2023, she was awarded a Trond Mohn Starting Grant (2,5 Mio Euros) for the project “Representing the Future in an Aging Europe. The Politics of Demographic Change”.
