“Maternal Locus of Control and Child Skills Development”

Dr Morando is an applied economist at the University College London and the University of Bath. Her work aims at understanding the causes of inequality in skills formation within the institution of the family and within educational settings. She researches how such inequality translates into disparities in later outcomes in education and in the labour market. To do so, she uses econometric techniques on secondary data and has recently started collecting her own data and implementing experiments. She has published in journals such as the European Economic Review, Economica, and the Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis.
