Francisco Miguel Soler Martínez is a postdoctoral researcher in the social psychology of economic inequality at Aarhus University, Denmark. I completed my PhD at the University of Granada, Spain, as part of the Social Psychology of Inequality Lab. My research focuses on how people perceive economic disparities in everyday domains such as healthcare, education, and politics, and how these perceptions shape attitudes toward redistribution and collective action. I am particularly interested in cognitive and ideological barriers to reducing inequality, including meritocratic beliefs and biases. Currently, I am extending this line of research to explore how perceptions of overlap between wealth and political power influence civic engagement and support for inequality reduction. My goal is to advance understanding of psychosocial mechanisms that sustain or challenge economic inequality.
