Ellen Ehmke

Ellen Ehmke works as Senior Expert for the Robert Bosch Stiftung. She has a background in working with and for civil society organisations as well as in research. Prior to her current position she worked as Analyst on Social Inequality for Oxfam Germany, as research coordinator for Youth Policy Labs on adolescents’ rights and as freelancer on social policies in crises for the International Labour Organization (ILO). She received her PhD in political science – on rights-based social protection in India – from the University of Kassel. She has published academic and policy papers on the issues of inequality, social protection and labour market policies. Her professional and personal interests are the reduction of intersecting inequalities and realisation of equal social and political rights for everyone while respecting ecological planetary boundaries.
