Christophe Van Langenhove

Christophe Van Langenhove is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and an affiliated researcher at Ghent University (UGent). He obtained his PhD in Economics from Ghent University in 2025, with a dissertation on wealth inequality and wealth mobility in the United States. His research combines empirical analyses of micro-level household data with heterogeneous-agent macroeconomic models to study the drivers of wealth accumulation, inequality, and mobility. At VUB, he teaches introductory and intermediate courses in macroeconomics and supervises master’s dissertations.
