Céline Teney is a Professor at the chair of Macrosociology at the department of sociology at Freie Universität Berlin. Her main research interest lie in the field of political sociology, sociology of globalization as well as sociology in the context of europe and migration. Before moving to Berlin in 2021, she was a Professor at the University of Göttingen and senior researcher at the Social Science Research Center Berlin and in 2016 she received the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Awardfor excellent early career researcher. She obtained her PhD in Social and Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2009.
