Björn Hartmann is a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of St. Gallen. His research focuses on international trade, economic growth, and structural change. He examines how trade policy and income inequality shape trade flows, welfare outcomes, and labour market reallocations. He has been a visiting PhD student at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Manchester.
