Alexander Hixson is currently a second year student at the University of Konstanz, completing his PhD on “The “Pre-War Generation”: British and Russian Media Agenda-Setting, Framing and Priming Concerning a Potential Future NATO-Russia Conflict and its Impact on their Respective English- or Russian-Language Media Consumers in the UK and Georgia”. Previously, he completed his BA at the University of Essex in English Language and TEFL followed by his MA at Vytautas Magnus University Lithuania in Sociolinguistics. Lastly, he has also completed research at Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia, as part of his PhD. His main areas of interest are in Agenda-Setting, Framing, and how media (both traditional and social) influences how and what people think about, and how this translates to real-world actions, especially within the Eastern Europe and Caucasus areas, as he conducts research in both English and Russian languages.
