Aldo Madriaga is Professor at the School of Political Science, Diego Portales University in Santiago de Chile. He is also associate researcher at the Center for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies in Santiago de Chile and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, from where, with the University of Cologne, he obtained his PhD, investigating the political and institutional underpinnings of neoliberalism’s continuity. His work deals with the the political economy of development, particularly the role of business and institutions and has done research on topics including monetary policy, industrial policy, skills formation, environmental policy and clean energy. His focus is mostly on Latin America but has also done comparative work with other regions like Eastern Europe. He is co-editor of Palgrave’s Latin American Political Economy book series.
